ADP Art Challenge

One of seven paintings to be auctioned for charity

Painting is a hobby: my working life is devoted, as Chairman, to ADP http://www.adp-architecture.com, one of the largest practices in the country.  A few months ago I reflected on how architects today spend most of their lives in front of a computer.  I wanted to find out whether a talent – or even an interest – for painting, drawing or other artistic expressions still exists amongst our 100+ staff.

I was pleased to find that there is both enthusiasm and latent talent, and we are exhibiting our creations in Edinburgh as part of the Festival and in Birmingham.  All the artwork is available to bid for, on line, at:

Here you can see all the artwork created by my colleagues at ADP.  The auction closes at 8pm on 6 September.  All the money raised will go to The Marudyan Society, which provides education to children living below the poverty line in India, and to Macmillan.

I have contributed paintings inspired by where our seven studios are located.  Here I have selected my personal favourites: Newcastle, Edinburgh and Oxford.
